The great Eastern Gate to Sri Sailam - one of the Jyothirlinga and Saktipeeth

These simple remains in the Hindu temples after many attacks by people of different other religions, give us a confidence that what we do; what we worship; what we believed from infinite period is absolutely correct and perfect.
Coming back to the history of the temple, you can see from the official write up of the Government on the temple which is exhibited at the temple and which is photographed and presented along with this. "Chidagni Kunda" is seen even today quite nearer to the temple; this area is thickly covered by the divine tree "Kadamba" and as such the Goddess is "Kadambavana Vasini". Out of the Dasa Mahaa Vidyaas, China Massta is one and the temple for the goddess is available in this complex. This is called the eastern entry gate for Sri Sailam - one of the Jyothirlingas and one of the Asta Dasa Sakti Peethams.
If one is really interested to know what Hinduism says, one should not enter into the complex with a pre set of mind; an impartial look at the history and other evidences, give us a fair scope to know what we were, what we are and what we will be.
